Vendors & Contestants
GENERAL INFORMATION
Welcome to the inaugural 2008 Got to be NC Festival sign-up pages. Please use the links to the left to register or apply for space at the festival. We're looking to kick this festival off with a great first year, and want to encourage participation from all sectors. This has been a dream of Commissioner Troxler's to have a central North Carolina event where tractor lovers can gather and share information, and admire the restoration projects you've finished or have in progress.
Individuals can sign up to bring your antique tractors and farm equipment, bring material for the swap meet, or register your headquarters site for your antique tractor club. Please note there is no charge for bringing tractors or for your club's headquarters site, but there is a small fee if you plan to participate in the swap meet, and there will be fees for camping sites.
Several clubs will be sponsoring antique tractor pulls on Saturday and Sunday. Registration will be the same day as each event. There will be a draft horse pull on Friday night. Sorry, no mules this time. Horse Pull Pre-registration is required to participate in this event.
Vendors are encouraged to apply for space within the festival. There are limited opportunities for food and novelty vendors as well as other carnival-style sales booths. There is plenty of room for dealers with new and used farm equipment, collector tractors, farm clothing, replacement parts for antique tractors and more.
Commercial rates are extremely affordable, and I hope you will make plans to attend and participate. We expect large crowds for the Festival, as the fairgrounds will be full that weekend with the regular flea market, a boat show, a cattle show, a horse show, a roller derby match and of course, the Got to be NC Festival.
There will be the largest gathering of North Carolina food companies ever in the Expo Building during the festival. These companies will sample and in many cases sell their goods right on the spot. See and taste the goodness that grows in North Carolina here.
Since the admission will be free to the Festival we expect strong crowds in the 125,000 range over the four days of the event. If you have questions about particular segments of the Festival, see the contact information page for the coordinator for your area. You'll find mailing information, phone and e-mail information, too.
I look forward to seeing you at the 2008 Got to be NC Festival!
Steve Troxler, Commissioner
