Got to Be NC Festival in June

RALEIGH — Applications are now being accepted from agricultural and agribusiness companies for exhibit space at the 2008 Got to Be NC Festival coming to the N.C. State Fairgrounds June 5-8.

“This will be the largest gathering of old-time and modern agriculture in the state, making it the perfect place for companies to set up shop and talk to farmers, gardeners and homeowners,” said Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler.

First ever Got to Be NC Festival set for State Fairgrounds
June 5-8

RALEIGH — A four-day festival celebrating North Carolina’s agricultural heritage and locally produced foods will take place June 5-8 at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.

The Got to Be NC Festival will feature a food trade show, antique tractors, draft horse and antique tractor pulls, the official state barbecue cooking championship, carnival rides, games, a petting zoo, pig races, a bluegrass band competition and country, bluegrass and beach music performances.

Antique farm equipment celebrates agricultural heritage
at Got to Be NC Festival
RALEIGH – More than 700 pieces of antique tractors and farm equipment will be on display as part of the Got to be NC Festival June 5-8 at the N.C.State Fairgrounds. Machines dating back to the 1930s and representing brand names such as Ford, Allis-Chalmers, John Deere, Cub Cadet, International Harvester and Massey Ferguson will be part of the inaugural four-day event.

N.C. food companies will showcase fabulous flavors
at the Got to Be NC Festival
RALEIGH – What’s a festival without great food?There will be plenty to sample and buy at the Got to Be NC Festival June 5-8 at the State Fairgrounds. More than 75 North Carolina food companies will be showcasing their products in the Got to be NC Agriculture Food Expo in the Exposition Building. Visitors can expect to find a variety of food products, from barbecue sauces to gourmet candy apples.
