Circle C Petting Zoo

City dwellers can get in touch with their country side by visiting one of the most popular displays at the Got to be NC Festival-the petting zoo.

At the Circle C Petting Zoo visitors will be able to pet and feed many of the animals on display, including camels, llamas, pygmy goats, land tortoises, water buffalo and alpacas. Among the more exotic animals on display are zdonks, a cross between a zebra and a donkey. Also on display will be zebus, domesticated African cattle known for their prominent humped necks and the large flaps of skin beneath their chins. Small, fluffy forest-dwelling wallabies from Australia also will be on hand for visitors to learn about.

Hand washing stations are provided at all animal areas throughout the fairgrounds to encourage fairgoers to wash their hands as they exit and before consuming any food.

Circle C Petting Zoo will be open daily near the Martin Building at the Festival.
