Featuring a dynamic range of sounds from country to beach, the acts on this stage will be sure to keep your hands clapping and feet moving. Don't be shy. There will be plenty of room for dancing.

North Carolina Food and Wine Expo – Dozens of North Carolina food companies and wineries will be sampling and selling their products in the Exposition Building. Sample all you want and take home your favorites. Expo hours are 10 am – 8 pm Friday & Saturday, and 10 am – 6 pm Sunday.

Tractor Pull –

Tractor Pull

Loud and proud antique tractor pullers will see whose tractor can carry the most weight on Saturday in the Grandstand. Pulling starts at noon with the Old Time Tractor Pullers Association sanctioned event and a second pull starts at 7:00 pm with the Carolina Antique Tractor Pullers Association sanctioned event. Tickets are just $5.

Draft Horse Pull –

Real horsepower takes center stage in the Grandstand Friday evening beginning at 6 pm. Watch teams of horses pull weighted sleds for distance and top prize. Don’t forget to see the children’s stick horse race before hand and performances by Rocky the Trick Mule. Tickets are just $5.

Pre-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED by May 7, 2010. The Registration form can found by clicking on the link provided in the left-hand column.

Weigh-in for Light Weight teams will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Light Weight teams must weigh less than 3,400 pounds (25 pound tolerance)

Light Weight and Heavy Weight Classes will compete.

PRIZE MONEY paid 10 places per class

Pullers Appreciation Dinner is at 4:30 p.m.

Lawnmower Racing –

These are no ordinary yard machines. Revved up lawnmowers will race around a short track inside the Grandstand at speeds up to 60mph. The action begins at noon on Sunday. Tickets are just $5.

Petting Zoo, Pony Rides & Pig Races

Circle C provides the very popular petting zoo with animals of all shapes and sizes, the adorable ponies, and the famous racing pigs. Visit the petting zoo where you can feed the animals right out of your own hands, get your cameras ready for the photo ops at the pony rides, then head over to watch the pigs race to the finish line in the hopes of winning the coveted prize (Cheese Doodles!!!)

Mason's Pig Jig - Saturday, May 22 Only

More than 30 chapters of Masons will gather for a barbecue cook off on Saturday beside the Exposition Building. The teams will battle it out for pride and bragging rights. Food will be served to the public after judging Saturday morning beginning at 11:00 am. Tickets are $10 and children 12 and under eat free. All proceeds benefit the organization’s children’s homes in Oxford, NC.

Shriners Fish Fry – Friday May 21 Only

Fish Fry

The Amran Shriners will be cooking up North Carolina mountain trout, catfish, flounder, and shrimp from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm beside the Exposition Building on Friday only. Proceeds will benefit the children’s hospital.

Fiber Fest

Spinners and weavers will fill the Holshouser Building all three days to showcase their work. See fabrics made from sheep’s wool, alpacas, and more. Animals will be on hand too!

Classic Cars –

Classic Car

Classic cars of all types and eras will be on display Friday afternoon and evening on the path between the Grandstand and Houlshouser.

Harley Davidson –

Harleys

High Powered Harley Davidson motorcycles will be thundering into the fairgrounds on Saturday. They will arrive around 11:30 am and will line the path between the Grandstand and Holshouser for display at noon

Kid's Corral -

Kid's Corral

The perfect place for families, the Kids Corral will feature arts, crafts, and educational activities so the children can get "hands on" and learn about agriculture. Don't worry, there will also be plenty of resting places for the parents too.

Antique Farm Equipment Exhibits –

See the largest antique farm equipment display in the Southeast with over 1,000 pieces of working equipment including hundreds of tractors representing almost any brand name you can imagine. There will be a daily tractor parade beginning at 10:00 am each day.
